Abbey Precincts Residents Association

We are fortunate to live or work in such a well-favoured area close to the Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban. The narrow streets, ancient buildings and open spaces provide it with a distinct and attractive character redolent with heritage. The Abbey Precincts area is a vital and valuable asset of St Albans city, drawing many visitors over the centuries and nowadays, throughout the year.

APRA was formed by local residents to protect and promote the identity, integrity and interests of the area. We aim to do this by working with the district and county councils as well as other organisations and residents associations.

We are keen to invite new members who support APRA’s aims. Membership is available to those resident or with a business within the area bounded by Holywell Hill, the High Street, Verulam and Branch Roads and the River Ver.

APRA is run by a Committee, with Street Reps to ensure good communication with individual members. You can find information about the issues we’re addressing in Working Groups.

If you would like to join APRA, please contact us.
